Signet Extends Protection Contract with Assurant Solutions

Assurant Solutions announces today that the world’s largest specialty retail jeweller, Signet, has agreed to renew its contract with the insurer. Assurant Solutions will continue to provide consumer protection for jewellery and watches sold through all Signet UK retail outlets including Leslie Davies, Ernest Jones and H Samuel.

Under the terms of the renewed agreement, Assurant Solutions will offer Signet customers protection for jewellery and watches in the event that they need to be repaired or replaced due to accidental damage, theft, robbery or as a result of a peril such as damage or destruction caused by storm, flood or fire. Customers can choose to cover their jewellery or watch for two, three or five years.

The protection provided aims to repair the item and restore it back to its original condition. If this is not possible, or the item has been stolen, then the customer will receive a like for like replacement. If the original item is no longer available, the customer will be provided with a replacement item up to the original purchase price. In addition, watches are also covered for breakdown after the expiry of the manufacturer’s guarantee.
