A.M. Best is North America's most widely recognized insurance rating service. Its ratings are based on financial strength and operating performance. The ratings for Assurant's life and health insurance subsidiaries were affirmed in April 2006. The ratings for the property and casualty subsidiaries were affirmed in July 2006. A.M.
