American Bankers Renews Corporate Sponsorship of Paso Fino Horse Association

Atlanta/Miami: American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida, a leading writer of equine-related insurance products in the United States, has renewed its corporate sponsorship of the Paso Fino Horse Association Inc. (PFHA), for another three years, said PFHA President Larry Johnson.

"American Bankers relationship with the PFHA began in 1992, and has continued since that time, making it the oldest corporate sponsor of the association," Johnson said.

American Bankers, which is a member of Assurant Group, wrote more than $37 million in gross premiums in 2000 through its agricultural sales department. American Bankers is rated "A" Excellent for financial strength and operating performance by A.M. Best Company, North America’s most widely recognized insurance rating service.

PFHA is headquartered in Plant City, Fla. Its 29th Grand National Championship Show and Sale, the largest in the association’s history, will be held September 17-27, in Perry, Ga. at the Georgia National Fair Grounds and Agricenter. More than 900 Paso Finos will participate in the event.

Joe Carr, vice president of Agricultural Sales and Marketing for American Bankers, said he is pleased that American Bankers will continue to serve as the insurance company endorsed by PFHA.
