Assurant Solutions Awarded ISO 9001:2000 Certification for Service Contract Quality Management Systems

ATLANTA:  Assurant Solutions, a leading global provider of extended service contracts, announced that the quality management systems used by its extended service contract business have been re-certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 standards.

International Management Systems, Inc. of Tampa, Fla., a registrar accredited by the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board, audited the Assurant Solutions systems and confirmed the certification, which covers processes used at the Atlanta headquarters office and Assurant Solutions customer contact centers in the United States and Canada.

“ISO 9001:2000 is recognized worldwide as the comprehensive international standard that defines quality,” said Joe Erdeman, president of the Assurant Solutions Personal Property Protection business.  “The quality management processes used by our extended service contract business have been regularly audited and certified as ISO 9001:2000 compliant since 2000. We believe this certification is unique within our industry and shows our continued commitment to providing quality products and services to our clients and their customers.”
