Assurant Services Ireland Limited is an Assurant Solutions company, providing operations support services to other Assurant Solutions companies. These services include life, disability and involuntary unemployment claims assistance for creditor insurance and debt protection programmes.

Assurant Solutions is the trading name of specialist underwriting companies, Assurant General Insurance Limited (registered in England no.2341082) and Assurant Life Limited (registered in England no.3264844), which are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

The registered office is located at Cork Business & Technology Park, Model Farm Road, Cork, Ireland.

History

We trace our history back to 1941 when Canadian-born entrepreneur Kirk A. Landon sold his prized stamp collection for $5,000 and used the funds to form American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida, to market a range of new insurance products - credit life, credit disability and unemployment insurance - that laid the foundations of creditor insurance as it is today. American Bankers exported the concept of creditor insurance to the UK in 1972 by establishing Financial Assurance Company Limited. Between 1989 and 2004, our group traded as Bankers Insurance and Assurant Group. Assurant Services Ireland Limited was established in 1999 as a financial claims processing center for North America operations. We adopted the name Assurant Solutions in February 2004 after our parent company, now Assurant, Inc. went public through an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol AIZ.
