Assurant Solutions companies are part of Assurant, a premier provider of specialized insurance and other products and related services in North America and selected other markets worldwide. In our products and services, clients and their customers access over 50 years of global knowledge and experience backed by the financial strength and security of our parent company in the United States.

Assurant Solutions traces its history back to 1941 when Canadian-born entrepreneur Kirk. A. Landon sold his prized stamp collection for $5,000 and used the funds to form what would become American Bankers Insurance Company of Florida, to market a range of new insurance products - credit life, credit disability and unemployment insurance - that laid the foundations of creditor insurance as we know it today. Assurant Argentina Compañía de Seguros S.A. (formerly known as American Bankers Argentina Compañia de Seguros, S.A.) was established in 1997. We became an Assurant Solutions company in February 2004 after our parent company, now Assurant, Inc., went public through an initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol AIZ.

Our principal lines of business include extended warranty programs, vehicle service contracts and credit life, disability and unemployment Insurance.
